Well, today the boat was hauled out in Bellingham for about a week of work.

We had originally planned to be leaving today for about a 6 week trip on the boat, but due to some unexpected issues instead we are hauling out for repairs.

Here is what we are doing:

1. Replacing the generator. The previous Westerbeke 12.5K generator failed and we are replacing it with an Onan Cummins QD generator. This new generator should be smaller, quieter, and still plenty of power to run everything on board.
2. Bottom Paint. Its about time. Not just bottom paint, but paint on the trim tabs, the props, drive shafts and about any other part that is currently growing muscles.
3. Trim tab repair. The trim tabs have never worked since we bought the boat, time to get them working while we are out of the water.

It should be ready to go back into the water in about a week. After that we look forward to a really late start on the boating season.
