The weekend of 5/2/2026 we did our shakedown cruise of 2026. This comes after having the boat out of the water for the last 16 months when it was up for sale in Annecortes. If it is not going to sell, then fine, twist my arm we will use it.

Two nights on the boat at Roche Harbor. We had originally planned on staying 1 night at Sucia Island, but due to it being the opening day of Ling Cod season, Sucia was completely packed, and we motored on to Roche for two nights.

On our last trip before we took the boat out we had some trouble with our inverter, and it worked fine on this trip until we got home. After diagnoising the inverter as being dead, I ordered a replacement that I will need to install next week.

We ordered teh Xantrex Freedom Xc Pro Marine 3000w Inverter/Charger – 12v as the replacement. Cool features like bluetooth connectivity, NMEA connectivity, true sine-wave output, and more.

This also a charger, and automatic transfer switch. If it has shore power or generator power it it, it will run off of that, otherwise it provides 120v power inverted from the 12v batteries. It also functions as the charger to charge the house batteries when we are on shor power. Now to dig around in the engine room to get it installed.
