TV For Remote Simrad Display
Today I tried out using the TV in the salon as a remote display for the Simrad NSS16.
I purchased a 75 ft html cable, so that I could run the wires nicely out of view, but the 75ft cable didn’t work with the NSS16 and this TV, I suspect it was the signal booster in the 75ft one. I had a 30ft cable on board, which was only long enough to hook the NSS16 to the TV if it is run across the floor, and not through the wire runs in the walls. The 30ft cable did prove that the concept works nicely to monitor the charts/radar screens from the salon, but I am going to need to buy a different cable. I have ordered a 60ft cable now.
The 75ft model that did not work was this one from Amazon: Postta HDMI Cable(75 Feet Red) HDMI 2.0V with Built-in Signal Booster-Support 4K,3D,1080P,Ethernet,Audio Return & Ultra HD-1 Pack.
