It has been 4 months since we first installed the solar panels on the boat. We have 6 of the 8 panels installed, each 110 watts of power.

During the summer months on the days that we are not using the boat we keep the refrigerator running so that we don’t have to empty out everything between trips. Since we don’t have shore power where we keep the boat, and have only had a couple of excursions with shore power, we have almost exclusively kept the boat charged with the SunPower solar panels that we purchased earlier in the year.

The 6 solar panels combined with the 12 battery bank for the house batteries, we rarely even notice any draw-down even if we stay up late watching a moving on the boat.
