Wrapping the Tender for the Winter

Today I shrink wrapped the tender. As we get to the end of the short Pacific Northwest summer, and enter the 9 months of rainy season, it is time to start wrapping things up for the season.

I guess I should point out some terminology we use. Our dinghy is the 11 ft inflatable that rides on the top of the 4788, and the Tender is the Campion Explorer 16.5 ft boat that we tow behind. This shrink wrap project was on the Campion 16.5ft boat.

I purchased the entire kit to do the shrink wrapping from Uline.com It was a bit expensive to do one boat, but I plan to also shrink wrap the dinghy and part of the fly bridge on the 4788.

I just followed the instructions that I found on a Youtube video, and it took about 2 hours. Next time it would go faster.

Here are some in process photos.

Next we will need to take a look at winterizing the Dinghy.

I did make a few mistakes that I have learned from, and the next boat I wrap should be a bit faster.
