Head Mirror Replacement
Perhaps one of the cheaper replacements on the boat with this only costing a few hundred dollars, this is perhaps one of the best bang-for-your-buck improvements we have done. With a one week turn around at the local glass company, I was very please with the outcome.
First, here are some of the before pictures, notice the edges of the mirrors have lost their reflectiveness.
Then, after pulling the 4 mirrors out of both of the heads, here is what the finished product looked like.
One step closer to “Better than new” condition.
Here is the product we used from West Marine. Note, they had a light with less lumens (perhaps 36) and it was not as white of light, it was slightly dimmer and yellower. I accidently bought a couple of those and ended up removing them. The 45 lumen lights shown below are what really did the job.
