Day 11 on the boat

We have spent the last 11 days on the boat. The map above shows todays route, and the map below is the last 10 days. We are currently waiting on Sucia Island riding out a bit of a storm waiting to see if we can get back into Sandy Point tonight, or if we will have to wait until the morning to get home. That now makes 58 nights that we have stayed on the boat since we purchased it.

We had the pleasure of filling up the diesel tanks today, 180 gallons was what it took and that is our first fill up this years.

While we were fueling up, I was approached by the owner of an Ocean Alexander 100 asking about our internet, with the Starlink dish onboard. With that conversation, and some others, 1 of which I know lead to an order of Starlink, perhaps Elon Musk should be paying me a commission for having Starlink on board.

We learned that the dock crew would always appreciate a t-shirt instead of a time when the pump out your sewage. I was happy to hand out a shirt instead of a time. Perhaps it is time for me to order a few more Off Leash t-shirts.

There are currently small craft advisories this evening, and we are watching to see how things turn out with the weather, and the tides. We can’t get back into the Sandy Point harbor until about 9:30 tonight, and if it is going to be too windy that make make things challenging.

Currently the only other boat at Fossil Bay is a kayak on the other dock, and the ranger boat.

This is certainly the fewest boats that we have ever seen on the docks here.

It has been a great 11 days, we have seen some old friends, spent some time with family, and met some new friends along the way.
