New Hallway Lighting
Today, we finally got around to swapping out the failing lights in the hallway of our Bayliner 4788. These replacements have been on our to-do list since before our trip, and the perfect opportunity presented itself this rainy afternoon here at Claydon Bay in Grappler Sound, nestled within the Broughton Archipelago.
The original lights were yellowed and fading, and half of them did not work. The new lights are brighter than we expected and a nice way to light up one of the darkest parts of the boat.
We had ordered the under-cabinet lights from Amazon.com, and they turned out to be a perfect fit for our needs.
Installation was straightforward, and the new lights now cast a warm and even glow that makes our boat feel even cozier on this overcast day. Despite the dreary weather, it was satisfying to check off another task from our list and enhance the comfort of our floating home. The hallway feels brighter and more inviting, a small but meaningful improvement that adds to the overall ambiance of our journey.
Total project cost was $31, time for the project was 20 minutes.
