New Mattresses

One of the most important things for a multi-day boat trip in the 4788 is a good nights sleep. Without a good nights sleep the rest of the trip is much more challenging. We are replacing the mattresses in the master stateroom and the second (VIP) stateroom. We had originally planned to order custom mattresses,

New Port Side Starting Batteries

On our shakedown cruise of the 4788 a few weeks ago we noticed that the port side starting battery was totally dead, and would not take a charge, but this had not been noticed when we purchased it because there is a crossover switch from the house batteries to the starting batteries. That crossover switch

On Board Pressure Washer

Being around the saltwater and weather, the boat is always in need of a cleaning. My gas powered pressure washer at home was simply too big to bring on board and use when we are out and about, so I purchased a small electric pressure washer to use when we are on board the boat.

New House Battery Bank

After some investigation we found several of the rules of long battery life being voilated. The batteries were different types. All

After doing some research, I purchased the MOFI Network MOFI4500-4GXeLTE-SIM7 which is described as working well with TMobile service. After purchasing the router, I then

New Vinyl Boat Name

Before we could add the new lettering for the boat name, we had to clean off the previous worn out stickers. Once the transom was clean we applied the new vinyl stickers that we created using our vinyl cutter. Thanks to George for helping make this happen. Below is the final look of the new

Solar Panels

We added 440 watts of solar panels to the pilothouse roof. When the sun is showing the panels charge the house batteries and keep the house batteries topped off so the house bank is full charged when we are ready for an outing. Below is one of the 4 solar panels in the packaging as

Anchor windlass switches

One of the first things that I noticed is that the anchor windlass up and down switches were not working. A quick disassembly and cleaning and we now have working windlass switches. We are now able to raise and lower the anchor. The first boat repair is now complete.
