On Board Pressure Washer

Being around the saltwater and weather, the boat is always in need of a cleaning. My gas powered pressure washer at home was simply too big to bring on board and use when we are out and about, so I purchased a small electric pressure washer to use when we are on board the boat.

Pilothouse Doors

On the Bayliner 4788 there are sliding doors on either side of the pilot house. One has never worked well since we purchased the boat, and the other one really started to stick last week. The door is Part #9 in the diagram below. I started by removing the pilothouse door. This was as simple

New House Battery Bank

After our shakedown cruise, we discovered that even with the 4 x 8d deep cycle and AGM batteries they would barely hold a charge overnight with the 12v fridge running and some house lights. Dingy Repaired and Running

After some extensive work from George and Alex, they were able to get the dingy running. Prior to purchasing the boat we were able to only get the dingy to start by going directly to the starter positive terminal with a jumper cable. After some investigation we tracked down that the battery wires were so

Anchor windlass switches

One of the first things that I noticed is that the anchor windlass up and down switches were not working. A quick disassembly and cleaning and we now have working windlass switches. We are now able to raise and lower the anchor. The first boat repair is now complete.
